General

Rules for everyone on the team.

   👁Play the player, not the ball

   Pick the player you are guarding and stick to them like glue. If you stare at the ball, your player sneaks away and gets open!

   Shout:"Got my player!"

   🚀See space? Take it!

   If there is open grass in front of you, push the ball forward into it. Dribble or pass. Don't wait, go!

   Shout:"Space! Go!"

   👀Look before you get the ball

   Before the ball reaches you, peek around. Where are your teammates? Where are the other team's players? Then you already know what to do.

   Shout:"Head up!"
4. 4

   📣Talk, talk, talk!

   Soccer is a talking game. Call for the ball and tell your teammates what you see. Loud voices win games.

   Shout:"I'm open!" "Player on!"

   🐝Spread out, no bee swarm

   If everybody chases the ball, nobody is open to pass to. Stay in your spot so there is lots of room to move the ball.

   Shout:"Spread out!"

   🏃Everybody attacks, everybody defends

   When we lose the ball, run back right away and help. Every player is a defender, even the strikers!

   Shout:"Get back!"

   💪Mistakes are OK

   Everybody messes up sometimes, even pro players. Shake it off and get ready. The next play is the most important one.

   Shout:"Next play!"
8. 8

   🤝Be a great teammate

   Cheer for each other, say "good try," and have fun. Shake hands with the other team after the game.

   Shout:"Nice one!"

   🙌Throw-ins go forward, down the sideline

   When it is our throw-in, throw the ball up the field along the sideline. Not back toward our goal, and not into the middle where the other team is waiting.

   Shout:"Up the line!"

Defense

Rules for when the other team has the ball.

1. 1

   🛡Nobody gets behind you

   Always stay between your player and our goal. If an attacker gets behind you, they can run free at our goalie. Keep your eyes on your player.

   Shout:"Nobody behind!"
2. 2

   🚧Drive the attackers to the sidelines

   Don't let the attacker dribble into the middle. Show them the sideline, because the sideline is like a wall that helps us. Out wide, they have fewer ways to get to our goal.

   Shout:"Out wide!"

Goalie

Rules for our keeper.

1. 1

   🥅Block it, grab it, start the counter

   1. Block the shot. 2. Stop the play by grabbing the ball. 3. Start our counter-attack by passing the ball out to a teammate on the side.

   Shout:"Keeper's ball!"
2. 2

   🧤Use your hands!

   You are the only player who can use your hands, inside your penalty box. So grab the ball, hold it tight, and don't be afraid to dive for it.

   Shout:"Mine!"
